I am a graduate of the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School. However I didn't stop there with my education. Continuing education is one of the most important things that a farrier can do for his/her customers and thier horses. I am a member of the (AFA) - American Farriers Association, (BWFA) - Brotherhood of Working Farriers Association, and also a couple of local associations, (NCHA) - North Carolina Horseshoers Association & (S.H.O.E.) Southeastern Horseshoers on Education.
I take several publications and attend seminars and lectures to keep up to date with the lastest developments in the "Horse Hoof Care" industry. This is invaluable information coming from some of the leading farriers in the world.
I stay up on the latest so I can help you to determine fact from fiction as well as develop a strategy to address horses with special shoeing needs. I will assess your horses feet as well as provide you with advice on hoof care and maintenance of the hooves. I will measure your horses angles and match them to the angle of the pastern. Proper alignment of the bone column is important for your horses comfort and longevity.
Quality hoofcare is the foundation of a healthy and happy horse. Your horse should not be neglected. Poor or sporadic hoof care can affect almost every aspect of your horses life whether they are out in the pasture, on the trail or in the show ring. The
horses I work on consists of all types. Trail & performance horses also including donkeys and mules. I do flat shoe gaited horses but do not do any pad work for action. I also do some corrective shoeing.
Thank you for visiting my site, if you have a question or would like to arrange for an appointment please e-mail me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
